I have just pulled the trigger on UP4 2022 .. and I am afraid, though it's not really expansive, I will be disappointed once more, after :
2 x Qudelix 5K both with anorexic battery playing time (5 hours in balanced mode)
3 x iFi go Blu in 18 months ... and all dead due to probably some incompatibility with some USB-C chargers I use => it seems there is almost no power protection in this dongle to avoid over charging.
1 x FIIO BTR7 impressive sound quality as a BT dongle ... but really heavy, with a rather poor battery playing time (6 hours in Balanced mode 7.5 hours in Single ended mode)
1 x Shanling M0 .. the battery is now dead and became so thick that it opened the device in two parts in less than one year. Probably, due to the fact I used it mostly at office as an USB-C DAC on my workstation. I couldn't really try it as a BT LDAC receiver as the volume knob was too erratic to be used and no hardware button for changing tracks.
... Basically, I just want to hang the BT receiver on my sleeping T-shirt with a Beyerdynamic Xelento or a Sennheiser IE 800 plugged in, and I just want to play music for more than 9/10 hours which is the average time in the evening for reading some books and then sleeping in my bed an all night.
It's the last BT receiver I will buy for such purpose... and I just hope this time I will get a good sound quality, long playing time and long item life (2 to 3 years or more).
