Isn't that more of a negative as it'll take longer to try out all the tubes one might like to try?
not really bc the stock tube is better than a bunch of tubes, so, just trying tubes that might actually be better but remain in the realm of reasonable affordability will limit the sample size. You could just target some good ones that might compliment each other.

Tonight's Jazz recommendation: Steps 'Step by Step'. They later became known as the band Steps Ahead. (+1 for Steps Ahead, as well.)

This album is just a bunch of little known session players that decided to get together and make some music of their own. You may have heard of a few... 😉

Eddie Gomez
Mike Mainieri
Michael Brecker
Steve Gadd
Don Grolnick

.
I am all about Eddie Gomez. That dude nearly constantly stole the show from Bill Evans, especially on live records.

I got ya, i'll come up with somethin' safe. Our laws are still quite draconian as well but do have the medical card exemption.

I'm surprised that either of Trump or Biden hasn't just ended prohibition already. I bet it happens soon.
Come to Oregon. Smells like pot everywhere. 😒

LMAO. My wife simply gives customers who don't bombard us with "how's my knife/sheath coming" emails/calls with a 5% discount.
So I should just reward everyone else and charge @bcowen regular price? The trouble is neither one of us uses the fiat system or any monetary system for that matter. He might send me glass containing a vacuum and I send him tree parts. 🤪 We have sent each other liquids that are fermented or distilled and I won a porterhouse cow part once. Money’s just something you throw off the back of a train. (Tom Waits)

We'll convert them one at a time! Maybe get Schiit to do a roadshow there...
The world needs a Road Schiitshow! Make it happen, Jason.

For a tube device what needs more break-in, the tube or the device?

Any LISST-like devices for the Vali3? I would love a glowing LISST with mini-VU meters to go with the Vali3!
VU meters are always nice but a glowing LISST would be an indication of the imminent release of the magic smoke.

I just removed the CD player and decided to leave the XDA-2 on and not use its headphone out jack. I hate that thing anyway as it's one of those mini-jacks and seems flimsy. The 'table is on top and beneath it on the lower shelf is the XDA-2 atop the Andover Audio setup. Sub is to the left of that. On top of the XDA-2 is my SMSL THX-WTI (What The Intercourse) headphone amp. Balanced and unbalanced. I like the looks of balanced cables otherwise I don't care. My digital source is a Denon HEOS Link. It is excellent.

I rebooted everything and it's working. For now. I hate leaving stuff powered up. Oh well, it'll make for a nice blue nightlight. The gnu XDA-3 looks okay but mine has kinda sorta upset me for years now which is why it sat unused for a looooong time. Ooooo...Joni Mitchell is on!

You need one of those old google map things with pins where all the bottles have been spotted!

Grand Canyon, Dodger Stadium...
Dang, totally great idea!
