ZMF BOKEH - Closed Back (Semi-Portable)

I can understand why the netting is the direction it is because I think if it was the other way, when you close it to zip it the stuff would fall out. Maybe a full netted area with a zipper? that way the items would be secure either way.

Yeah, I think there a few possibilities there. We've got a bunch of these cases now, so it's going to be a long time before we can make changes, but it's definitely something to consider on the next run (which will be a ways off).

Here you go. They're definitely not orange!
Thank you
Wow they really do look like walnut color and the pattern aren’t what’s shown in their page for this limbs wood
I was think for a lighter color now with the dark line pattern of 1or 2 lines so it’s not busy and contrast to lighter color like these attached

But after looking at your pictures I don’t know what to say. I mean it still good but just don’t see pattern that much

Yeah there's some variance for sure with the Limba, that set just has a LOT of spalting - very desirable IMHO!

It really is stunning, it's my first time to see natural limba like that. I imagine there will soon be many people requesting darker colors now haha.

Also, BOKEH testing is ongoing now. Is it wrong to say that I think this has a more exciting first 15 min of listening even compared to the Caldera Closed? The longer I listen to both, the more the strengths of the Caldera Closed come forward, but this still manages to do bass in a very snappy and engaging manner. Quick measurements of the stock configuration (1-2 kHz doesn't feel as recessed as the measurements indicate):

I mean it’s still nice looking I just don’t know what to get
Since I have the AC in Olive and up coming CC in ash. These 2 are light color woods
And I have VO in Purple Heart, VC in leopard and AO in Bubinga , CO with aged cherry
Zach please help me make a decisions 😆
It’s like I am collecting wood instead of headphones

I still haven't bought a Bokeh because I'm not feeling the colour options, but I'd buy that darker walnutty colour in a heartbeat if it was available in Europe! They should've told it was an option from the start.

Pretty crazy how good the Bokeh are! The engagement factor with them is really strong no doubt.

That's what I'm finding too. I have a loaner pair in, and I really enjoy every minute listening. A couple of small personal nits to pick maybe, but when I'm listening, I never think of that at all.

Nope not wrong to say at all. I have a Bokeh and am testing a demo CC currently. The Bokeh for me is much more exciting/engaging than the CC from a fun perspective. Bigger bass, more dynamic punch, etc. The CC is a more technical listen vs the pure musicality of the Bokeh. They showcase each other quite well by contrast.

We definitely still need to explore LTD editions and other colorways - it will be fun to do that!

Have you considered woods that fluoresce? I made a list with approximate hardnesses last year because I got curious about it. I’ve never even heard of a lot of these, so I don’t have a clue about suitability or availability.

Albizia 1,020#
Amendoim 1,780#
Coffeetree 1,390#
Lebbek 1,330#
Locust, Black 1,700#
Locust, Honey 1,580#
Mango (heartwood) 1,070#
Myrtle (heartwood) 1,270#
Pistachio 1,930#

(After looking at my list I realized you just did a Ltd. with Mango. Haven’t seen any black light pics yet though.)
