For those of us with multiple headphones, which ones are you listening with now?

Spending some time in the listening chair tonight 👍

The album is a digital one I bought at Bandcamp Friday a few weeks ago; Unicorn by Ugress.
Some really great soundscapes in this one, they really did a great job mixing and mastering this, so that the music is presented in a very fun and exciting way. Nothing realistic about it, but to me, a lot of fun and engagement 🤘👌🎶

HE1000 was the obvious choice for this one, and it performs excellent, to me, the HEKS excels at music that isn't going for a realistic sound, but want to immerse you in the presentation of all the sounds. Lots of space, width, height and depth, details and whatever superlative all the reviewers use alle the time 😁

If you can't tell, I'm really enjoying myself in this session, and I hope that all of you guys out there is also having a good time with your music and gear :)

Plex on Fiio R7 to Aune S17 Pro and HE1000.

Love this album, I had forgotten the album for some years now.
Was looking trough my saved albums on Spotify today, I guess it was not available when I transitioned to Tidal some years back.

Vocal trance that's pretty chill and downtempo

Fresh out of the box: the Sivga Nightingale. Initial impression is that these IEMs are like listening to live music by candlelight. Very unusual tuning, especially for a planar magnetic. The recessed vocal range plus the planar snappiness gives vocals unexpected delicacy. Beguiling AF.

Sounds of Crenshaw, Vol. 1 (2017), The Pollyseeds

Terrace Martin's direct follow-up to his production work for Kendrick Lamar on To Pimp a Butterfly. It has a lot of the same vibe and early '90s R&B callbacks that Kendrick's album does, but it's an easier listen since it doesn't have the same thematic heaviness. It's mostly instrumental, but there are some killer vocal tracks too ("You and Me" is a fave).

Iglooghost - Tidal Memory Exo

Giving this album another spin, some of the most creative bass music I have heard with vocals I kinda cannot stand lol… really hoping it grows on me.

Edit - really liking this album a second time; the blurb he wrote about it helped a lot

“Tidal Memory Exo is an album I made while living in a rust-ridden flooded squat in a weird UK seaside town. The area has been in an endless storm, causing strange otherworldly primordial garbage to be washed to shore. It’s basically only populated by rogue junk-hoarding scrap weirdos right now. I’ve been trying to get involved in the music scene that’s bubbling up locally. There’s lots of weird new mutated genres and illegal radio stations popping up - completely isolated from the rest of the country because of this massive storm. They don’t really like me, but I sort of wormed my way in and finally got this album together. Tunes about oceanic scum, illegal teletext transmissions, & the prehistoric trilobite angels lurking in the sewers.”

Thanks! Album cover itself is an Yggdrasil tree as well perfectly suited for Schiit Yggdrasil! One of my favorite albums to get lost into music during late night sessions
A bit of musical “Inception,” as it were!

This album is giving me some serious Telefon Tel Aviv vibes, but more instrumental and ambient. So good…
