Is it true the M3 Pro sounds better than the btr5?
I thought I heard someone say this, but I can't track down where I found it.
And plus, it seems Fiio always makes the latest product released sound better than the ones released before.
Maybe I was confusing it with M3K, because some people in reviews make comparisons using blind references, assuming everyone is coherrent with their thoughts.

If there are local store in your city, you could have a try there first. But the functions of M3Pro and BTR5 are completely different. So they may not be quite comparable.

So far I gathered, the reason why a couple of people may not have had the most positive view on the BTR5; it is because the BTR5 single ended is not as good as the BTR5 balanced. So it is potentially possible that the M3 Pro can sound better than the BTR5 in single ended operation.
But BTR5 balance seems pretty well respected.

Additionally the BTR5 can use bt wirelessly, and wired will sound better than the wireless mode. So that could have been involved as well.
