It could work with the mojo and some of the Sony players. And some Sony players are not compatible with the L27.

I have this cable and the expensive Sony cable. The Fiio cable does not have all of the pins to output DSD and work with the A55. It work with older models such as A45 but Hi Res are limited unlike the A55 model.
Save yourself time and stress and get the Sony cable.

I have an A55 with Fiio L27-TC which is the L27 cable with usb variant instead of micro-usb. It does work with DSD as shown here:

This is the A55 connected to a Topping D10s. I have to use a Y-cable to supply power as the wmport does not supply power out.

As shown in both pictures, 2.82Mhz DSD is showing

Here is another picture showing a simpler connection to Topping D30 pro coz D30 pro has power coming from the wall socket. However, in this picture A55 is not playing DSD though I think there shouldn't be any problems. This picture is older then the 1st two I showed just to demonstrate that L27 (at least the TC) can play DSD.

I too have the Sony cable...here is a picture with both closeup view of the wmports. The top is L27-TC and below is the Sony cable.

Yes I see what you mean about the pins. There are less pins on the L27 but nonetheless, DSD is supported as shown
