Strange - my DK1 pro has arrived at UK Customs and now Fiio store on AliExpress is saying it cannot be shipped to my address? Lucky I don't need another one!
Dear friend,
Our shipping in Aliexpress is in charge by Aliexpress official shipping. So you may try to check with the local post office first if you are convenient.
Best regards

2. FIIO flagship over-ear headphones FT7
Currently, FIIO's highest-positioned over-ear headphones are the FT5, priced at 449.99 USD. It is relatively affordable among HiFi over-ear headphones and has excellent sales. However, due to the complex process of the planar diaphragm unit, we still cannot guarantee a steady supply.

Since the FT5 sells well, we have confidence in moving upward to create over-ear headphones with higher sound quality, design, and other aspects to meet users' demands.

For reasons of commercial confidentiality, we cannot reveal too many details at the moment. However, I can tell you that we have invested a lot of effort and money in innovating the unit this time, addressing issues such as the weight, efficiency, and small amplitude of planar over-ear headphones.

In summary, if we do it, we will prioritize the innovation problem. We hope to bring everyone an unprecedented new experience and sound quality.

The FT7 is expected to be launched in the fall.

Therefore, in 2024, FIIO's product line of over-ear headphones will consist of JT1, FT1, FT3, FT5, and FT7, covering a price range from 45 to 1,000 USD.

Hi FiiO, obviously I don't know how far down the line you are with the FT7 at this point. But as someone who recently purchased the FT5 and then decided not to keep them, can I offer a few suggestions with regards to ergonomics and form factor please?

Firstly, please consider using oval shaped ear cups. Nobody has round ears and it seems one the main compaints with all your over-ear headphones so far is inner ear pad size. With oval ear cups, you can make them taller but also narrower, thus keeping the weight the same which is obviously always a balancing act, especially when it comes to planars and using metal ear cups etc.

I think that the ear cups also need more angle pointing backwards like human ears naturally are on our heads. I had to wear the headband almost across my heads crown to get the correct angle of the ear cups over my ears.

I also found the elasticated system of the headband a bit of a problem with the FT5... When I stretched it out to put them on, the ear cups would sit comfortably in place initially, but gradually slide slightly back upwards applying a bit of discomfort on my ear lobes. So using a simple but sturdy manual clicking adjustment system in future models would be appreciated if possible.

Finally, please do all you can to keep the weight down and clamping force low. Obviously you made a lot of effort with the FT5 using HQ magnesium alloy materials etc. but it was still heavier than, for example, the Hifiman Arya Stealth at 404g which has an even larger driver and ear cups.

Just a few pointers from my experience with the FT5 anyway. Thanks for reading and hopefully you can consider taking them on board going forward!

Hi guys, with regard to the K19 amp...

Can I connect an Xbox (or similar) to the amp via HDMI and then send the picture to a monitor essentially stripping out the sound?

A little bit like the NAD M51 from a few years back.

Dear friend,

May not support. According to the feedback from the engineer, when playing DVD, both the K19 and the TV have output still.

Now I will have a big problem what to buy.
I'm currently testing the K9Pro Ess, in my plan I have the Aune s9c, the Fiio R9, when the K19 shows up at the local store I think I'll go crazy. Which one to choose.

What type of device do you want to buy: a combined DAC + headphone amplifier, a streamer, a combined streamer with DAC and headphone amplifier? Which headphones are you going to use? And finally, something that is not often considered, but is essential to make the right choice: what is your maximum listening volume?
