As with all CanJams, the recent one in So Cal was great. HIFIMAN enjoyed meeting with everyone who came by and gave us suggestions on their favorite music.

To show our appreciation, and to develop the dialog, we are offering a contest. Tell us your favorite music selections you would like to hear on HE1000 (or your favorite phone) to be eligible to win popular HIFIMAN phones. We will select the popular music selections and copy them into our players for future events/shows.

Contest will run through the month of April at which time we will select the winners at random. The prizes are three RE300s.

No purchase necessary, just reply to this thread with your favorite tunes that you'd like to hear on HE1000.

Blues For Bighead by Andy McCloud on the Mapleshade label. Via speakers the musicians are in the room. Would love to hear how that track sounds through some top flight HiFiMan headphones.

Badman's song - Tears for Fears 8.32mn

Meaningless lyrics, FM lovable, catchy tune.

Not my favorite tune but long enough, very dynamic, 3 dimentionnal ,careful studio work and lots of participants in that piece.

Worthy for HE1000 but not with RE300s thus please don't send them to me :smirk:

Two jazzy songs that I think would be a good test for the HE-1000:

"Time Out" by Dave Brubeck (I've heard this before on the Abyss, and it sounded amazing. Would love to hear how the HE-1000 would do with this song. Plus it's an amazing piece of jazz.)

"Buena" by Morphine (another piece with jazz influences, and can sound pretty amazing out of the right headphones in my opinion.)

If Hifiman already had loaded these songs on for demoing at CanJam, please disregard my suggestions. But I don't remember seeing these pieces there.
