This combo is crazy:

A&K KANN Alpha -> iFi Gryphon w/ XBass II -> Meze PCUHD -> Audeze SINE -> Vesper Lambskin Over Ear Pads

How is the sound signature with the Vesper pads? Especially the bass and treble response. For me the stock signature is perfect but needs a better seal to achieve proper bass response. The difficulty for aftermarket pads is to provide satisfying bass response without messing with the rest of the spectrum.

Sub bass is elevated by a couple db. Mid bass sounds about the same. Seal is much better though and way more comfortable. Treble sounds identical but perceived detail seems a bit more. With the Vesper pads the driver is closer to your ears so that might have something to do with it.

Sounds good, thanks. It's a good thing the driver is not placed further, it can hurt the dynamics otherwise on this headphone.

I bought my B stock Sine headphones last Nov. The padding is coming apart. Does Audeze sell replacements? Are there any aftermarket pads that can recreate the same sound? I don’t want to order Vesper and wait forever, even though they do seem nice. 81288C22-B52B-4DE8-A363-9B30B67DFE4B.jpeg
More than a few comments on different pads and the Sines - note that the impact on original vs DX may differ. Easy to get will include CAL (Creative Aurvana Live) and Brainwavz HM5 from Amazon and the like. I prefer the CAL on a DX.

The Vesper On-Ear will give you the closest profile to the original pads, and the wait is worthwhile. I got the Vesper On-Ear - black real whole grain leather+memory foam and they sound great plus improved comfort. I also got the Vesper Over-Ear, but they do alter the sound from the original pads.

3rd party Skullcandy Aviator pads are great too

I can vouch for Skullcandy Aviator pads as a good option. I use Dekoni AKG K371 pads most of the time, but they need pads adapters to fit well.
