Violectric V101 - About €700 - Most affordable Violectric amplifier - Made in Germany. Pre gain switches are located inside. Amp circuit is G111.

Gain switches setting inside cool me down. I only owned three headphones, two of them are very easy to drive (TH610, Verisonix N501) the other one needs some power (T60RP). Because of the power gap, I don't want to open the case usually.

I think that there is going to be another model, still less expensive than the V202, with gain switches at the outside.

Any word on an a DAC in the same series? Might be worth a though if I want to upgrade my V200 at some point...

If you like a perfect neutral tone and external gain switches, consider the Lehmann Linear. I have the V200 and Lehmann Linear they are two great amps with a slightly different tonality. I hope the V101 has a wider and deeper soundstage because here the G111 mkII falls apart for us audiophiles (certainly excellent for professional use).👋

Before the end of the year if I remember well. Prices not yet fixed but about €2000 and €2400.

Ummmmm, that's V550 pricing, I think that makes my decision a little easier.
