So I took out the connectors and wired jumpers/cables directly to the board.

Burn in time :)

To go even further, I have to tell you jumping the fuse with solid core UPOCC wire always sounds best, but I would not risk it with gear priced at this level.
I tried that temporarily, it wasn't that much of an improvement over the soldered fuse.
Would be interesting to see what that would sound like now that the connector posts are out of the way.
Going without a fuse is a bit too crazy for my tastes though :)

Soldering fuse solves poor quality contact problem. It won't get any better without fuse.

The 14 gauge OCC copper didn't pan out, timbre and thickness of sound was off. My system lost a lot of transparency and speed.
18 gauge sounded too thin, 14 gauge too thick...

so I went with the stock jumpers, bent them to fit in the jumper slots.
One Installed underneath the board, the other over.

This is the best that my system has ever sounded.

There has to be a better solution, but I don't have any 16 gauge wire laying around.
Mundorf 15.5 gauge silver gold might just be what is needed.
