Well i have ea 1000 not even for full price. I know from my experience with sony mh1c when add foam or anything on iem simply lost technicality.It is ok for anybody to change it when you cannot listen it in stock form but i think you destroyed technical ability with mod.

The stock form of the EA1000 is even worse than the modded one. Due to the much too bright tonality.

But yes, dampening the nozzle too much will affect the technicalities (detail mostly) due to FR having a major affect on those factors.

Yes i thank god for change from astell sr 25 to fiio m11 ess. On astell must be ea 1000 unlistenable.Simply ea 1000 is about openess clarity, bass in technicality form. Need search source for it.

I’m using comply foam tips with these. Better isolation = less lower mid & bass loss = less volume = less shout. Warmer source like the DX300 with its old amp card also works well.
