These adapters I will keep because Tomas resleeved them for me. It will be my memory of him.

Back to back between 5b/254m and EL12 spez, my opinion is the EL12 spez is the greatest of all time - GOAT. If I have to name just one power tube as my very favourite, it's the Telefunken EL12 spez. The glass isn't very thick nor is it as well made as other power tubes but the sound is exceptional to my ears.

I can't believe it. @Deyan has make my 5b/254m adapters after I talked to him one hour ago. I haven't even paid him. Does he just wave a magic wand?

Those are very handsome, Matt. Kudos, @Deyan!

I'm beyond happiness now because these noisy Tesla EL12 spez are now absolutely quiet !!! That's the other pair of spare Telefunken EL12 spez that is a bit bigger than the other pair.

Never throw out your tubes. Never.

Come to think of it, I've never tried these Tesla in Ultimate except in Odyssey where it's noisy but in Ultimate it's whisper quiet.

My Telefunken EL12 spez will arrive tomorrow. It's very exciting. In the meantime, the cousin of USAF 596 stops by to visit. Raytheon RK60 really helps and compensates GEC KT66 with a bolder sound and a thumping base.

This combination gives the UltimatE the widest sound stage I have ever heard. USAF 596 and 5A/152M Sakuma style.

The incredible thing about UltimatE is whichever tubes from my stash I pull out, it makes them shine!
Here is RFT EZ81, Marconi-Westinghouse-GE 6V6G, Telefunken 5965 & Mullard-Amperex EL34: :sunny::sunny:

Get your music ready. I have 4 CDs that are quality recordings and I also like the songs obviously.

Brothers In Arms - Dire Straits Vinyl and CD
Cafe Blue 24k Gold Collector's Edition HDCD - Patricia Barber
Famous Blue Rain Coat 20th Anniversary Edition - Jennifer Warnes
Hell Freezes Over XRCD JVC Made in Japan - Eagles
Agree Matt, well-recorded music is such a treat on UltimatE. Currently listening to the new Mark Knopfler release "One Deep River", and while it may not be a mega classic like the Brothers in Arms you cite above, it is really, really good. Hearing Mr. Knopfler's vocals and guitar are like coming home to an old friend, and temporarily has me listening to something other than my usual classical fare. Worth a listen. :)

What’s your favourite headphone.
1. Meze Elite w/Angled Alcantara pads is my "go to" daily driver
2. Focal Utopia 2022, some head time but less than (1)
3. Audeze M-500, very occasional use these days

Hello,

I've extended my Ez81 stock and today the Ez81 Telefunken arrived.
I bought it on Ebay for 16€.
I plugged it in a few minutes ago after cleaning and it sounds great at first.
As you can see, there's no need to spend a fortune on top-class rectifiers, just be patient:darthsmile::darthsmile::darthsmile::darthsmile::darthsmile::darthsmile:

According to my information, this was made by Mullard for Telefunken, but unfortunately I have not seen a Mullard where this has 4 support posts as in the picture.
Also no code, except the number 15 at the bottom, nothing more.

In the next picture you can see the RFT in comparison so definitely not RFT.

Continue with EL84:
EL84 Mullard and Toshiba both differ noticeably.
The Mullard has clear differences compared to the Toshiba.
Toshiba has stapled plates and no hole in the centre.
The Mullard with yellow print says here that it was probably one of the first mullards.

I don't think the Toshiba was made with Phillips or Valvo tools.
But actually Matsushida probably made them for Toshiba.
