Been about a week with the Ifi Zen Can Sig.
I wanted something with a smallish form factor for late night listening with headphones.
It’s really good.
Measures super well and sounds great.
Sounds better and cleaner than my Marantz Headphone amp DAC. the Marantz is a bit bigger sounding but has some distortion which I can hear. It’s not as clean as the Ifi.
Big sound stage. Lots of detail.
I had tried the Mojo 1&2 in the past and they were good but a narrow soundstage and not as big and bold sounding.
I might try a couple more. Honestly I don’t know what could sound much better. Headphones are an odd thing.
I might try a Topping A90D , but there are a ton of those used for sale. Heard lots of them break after awhile. Was curious to try it because it measures even better and is discreet. And just curious to see how it sounds.
Don’t know about what else to try.
I don’t listen to much at all with headphones so I’m keeping it simple.
I’ve heard the RME headphone amp DAC and didn’t like it to be honest. Narrow and small sounding
the Ifi Zen Can sig is much better.
It’s just super good, small and pretty cheap.
