Seems like the signature is forgotten about as their CS rep told me they're not planning to update the streaming software app. Real annoying when you buy their TOTL and they use a legacy app with no support. A shame too cause it's a great all in one.

I just gave up on the “streamer” part and got a working solution.

@Nooborghini it is a shame indeed but treat it as lesson learned the hardway, I did the same with Zen Stream and the conclusion is simple: never buy any streamer from ifi and be very careful with TOTL products too if they are not delivered with promised functionality out-of-the-box on the release day.

What's your impressions with iCan + Empy II Combo? Have you had history with iCan + OG Empys combo? If yes, how would you describe the differences?

I think it works very well, the Empy II becomes more forceful over all and a little more present in the lower treble (it's always lush and enticing, I usually end up in a time warp that ends at 2 am no matter what time of day I sit down for a listen). The X-bass is absolutely bonkers with them but the 3D/crosstalk function is barely noticeable.
Haven't had the opportunity to try the OG Empys.

I have the iCan pros and always adjusted the bass almost the top with the Lirics. And It has been great surprice to me that I've preferred the Empys without the bassboost.

The Empy II doesn't need the bass boost, but takes it like a champ if you ask it to Usually only use it when listening at low volume to compensate

Not sure what that means exactly as it employs the Wiim Home app (the same app used for Wiim Streamers).

Now, in all honesty, I do not use the app function daily for sure, but I never had any issue with it and it still functions to this day, what exactly is not working for you? Wiim updates quite regularly.

So I tried the iOS WiiM app and the device never shows up. I'll try it again if yours is working but I emailed ifi CS and they mentioned that they only have the "legacy app" for it (https://apps.apple.com/ca/app/legacy-player/id820046906).

My issue is that the iDSD pro sig is connected with an RJ45 and when attempting to play off the microSD card, it often buffers, when it does, the playback stops completely until a power cycle is done on the device.

I tried 3+ microSD cards, RJ45s, newest 2.15 firmware. Lastly I have no option to search which drives me insane.

I never looked into MConnect since I was expecting the iFi's app to work decently. I'll have to try spotify/qobuz to see if it stutters tomorrow. I'll report in once I have a good time testing.

if you could get it working on the updated WiiM control, that'd be wonderful.

Sorry that you have had issues with yours. I have found out that apparently the Wiim Home app has dropped support for older units, and those units must use the Linkplay legacy app now, so that is why the iFi is no longer showing up as an option.

I would contact our support as to the proper method of SD card usage and streaming from it as it may need to be in a specific format and folder configuration.

As an alternative BubbleUpNp is also an app that most folks enjoy for streaming.
