Dear friend,

Hi, the official new firmware will not be released in a short time. But we could provide you a beta firmware when the engineer provides to us.

Best regards

Ok I was using the dap on my work trip last week and i did discover the same issue as reported. it happens if you pause music and let it sit idle for a few minutes and then press the physical play button to try to resume playback. i didnt notice this issue because i normslly just use the touch screen.

I feel like this has happened with most DAPs that I’ve owned. Not sure this is unique to the M15S or even Fiio.

I can also confirm this play/pause issue happens on a lot of DAPs that aren’t FiiO. It must be an Android thing? It happens on my R8 II but I didn’t notice it happening on the AK SP3000T.

What works for me is pushing play two or three times.

Theory:

Once the device is in “sleep” mode, the first press just wakes the device back up. Any other button would do the same.

The second press (after it has woken up) will take the action.

Does that sound feasible?

That makes sense!

Not my experience. What happens is after pausing and the player has been idle for a short time, pressing twice doesn't do it. It does only when I unlock it via the switch, and then pressing play again automatically jumps to the next track. Very annoying. I'll add that the lock switch excludes the play/pause button.

Also, I didn't meet any of that with my previous Shanling players, which were also Android.
