Hi, for a while i have used my Fiio X1 for all travel driving Fiio JH3 IEMs. for a budget system this souds great.
I have read that the sound of the X1 improved a fair bit when used on the Line Output (force volume) mode with a seperate amp. i have bought a Fiio E6 cheap, and i'm wondering whether it will improve the sound quality much, even though these 2 devices have the same power.

Skip the E6, perhaps find something a decade more advanced.
