turns out that it was a discussion about this game called 'Blind Legend' https://m.facebook.com/factsweird/photos/a.593359597348402/5073409846009999/?type=3&source=57, although i have also known about an audio game which came out for the Sega Saturn:

i thought that since all you people here are into headphones and earphones, have any of you tried playing audio games?

For strictly sound based games (no visual input what so-ever) not much. As for beat matching, there are a few good ones. Cytus on android. Deemo is great (or used to be) for mobile as well. Groove coaster used to be really good, but they forced an update from the original (forcing anyone to play to use GC 2) and made it horrible in the second rendition. For PC there are a few, but most have been pretty lack luster. VR‘s beatsaber is pretty promising overall, but haven’t played it personally.

Yes!

A fun one you can try right now is The Blind Swordsman.
holy crap, this game sucks, its like a quicktime event where you try to center the sound of someone's voice, the voice acting is exaggarted and super telegraphed but your controls dont seem to affect the outcome
