If you get the chance please do your upper mids / lower treble check again using First Times (shielded or not). That solved it immediately for me.

Listening to these now and everytime I think there's nothing standing out from the FR, why are these considered special? Then after 2-3 songs it's clear, it's that very same reason, everything sounds just right and yet highly detailed and musical!
