Loving this combination! TAD rectifier + RCA 5961s, and Tung-sol 6550s. The 6550s seem to have a larger sounstage and more airy sound compared to the stock JJ and the GEC KT8C power tubes.

I've noticed that when changing tubes, since some can be difficult to install/remove, there is movement in the platform/mounting of all the tubes within the chassis from pressing/pulling on the tubes. Is there any chance for causing damage to the sockets or PCBs that they are mounted to?

That's extremely frustrating, sorry that happened. I've also given up on having Fedex deliver to my apartment and now just redirect all packages to my local Fedex Office. They don't even attempt to deliver to my building if a signature is required.
