Agreed. I would add that if you want a good middle ground between the two, something with the soundstage width and depth of the 800s with the warmth of the Atrium consider a used pair of Meze Elites with the angled Alcantara pads.

These are the base Elrogs so not quite half price. Still $600 cheaper than buying new. This is only my 2 listing so I'm not sure how fast they will move. I think a lot of people will be hesitant to buy from someone with only 2 listings, but we'll see how it goes.

There is a LTD option, the Shedua wood. There is a part of me that likes the burnt ash for the emphases on the angles of the cup. For me I went with the Shedua because looking at it head on or at an angle, with the shape combined with the wood grain it reminds me an optical illusion drawing...

Maybe at the shows keep it to one set of pads and mesh? That way for show impressions everyone gets the same experience. Reading some of the impressions from the shows people were swapping pads and using pads that were not intended for the CC. Edit: Just for new launches not for ones already...
