All these reports of failed drivers have me a bit worried. I bought a used pair recently and the seller said the drivers and pads were replaced back in 2021 but I feel like now its a ticking time bomb for when a driver will die.

Interesting as I had a Lyr + but I wanted to get a higher end tube amp with more tube rolling potential so I got the Cayin HA-3A which improves pretty much everything the Lyr is good at doing.

Yes I would prefer a DAC with a balanced connection. Interesting that you prefer the Bifrost with the HA-3A. Is that due to technical performance, tuning, synergy? compared to the Chord.

What about the Chord Qutest? Apparently that has the same neutral tuning as the D90 but with better technical ability and a wider and deeper stage which will help with the Utopia. My current budget only allows me to go up to £1,000 either new or used.
