Little Dot MKIII Tube Rolling
Do you remember what the sound was like with the 6SN7 as a driver? Just wondering, because it might be worth it since I have some JJ 6SN7 and PSVANE 6SN7 laying around- RaynFox

LYRE | The DIY Planar Magnetic Headphone Project
LYRE: The Story of a DIY headphone Hi everyone! After a long time working on the headphones, I got to the point, where I think the headphones are perfected enough to be considered finished. They went through a lot and I'd like to share it here now. And I'll be honest, I did forget about this...- RaynFox

Little Dot Tube Amps: Vacuum Tube Rolling Guide
Thank you for the reply! Do you personally think, that a pair of RCA 6EM7 could be a good experiment for €50 ? Right now I'm using PSVANE 6SN7 and I'm really curious, but €50 is a lot, still could be a pretty nice experiment - I'd like to know your personal opinion though.- RaynFox

You really got me wanting to order and try 6EM7 tubes. Are they fine in 6SN7 adapters or is it not good after some time?- RaynFox

Aegis DIY Tube Headphone Amplifier
It's mostly about the looks since the ones I can get of the 5AR4 type from JJ locally (Slovakia) are really tall at nearly 10cm. I'd overall like to make the chassis smaller and fitting the rectifier tube with it looking good is quite a challange.- RaynFox

Oh ok, yeah I'm not going to do that haha I'm planning to mod the housing a bit, and I'd like to hide the rectifier tube - would the heat be a problem if it would be hidden inside or would actively cooling it be an issue for it?- RaynFox

One more question, is it possible that the rectifier tube could be replaced with something else rather than a tube?- RaynFox

Aegis DIY Tube Headphone Amplifier
Hi, I decided to build this amp, but I'm a bit confused about the transformers. I've been looking at many transformers and I'd like to know some recommendations. In general, it's confusing me quite a lot - I'm fine with the other parts of the build right now. Thanks in advance for help with...- RaynFox

Help with DIY DAC with OLED display
Hi, I'm looking to make a fully custom DIY DAC using either dual ES9038Q2M chips or a single AK4497EQ chip and put in an OLED display that would show information. I'm honestly not sure where to start though, I'd appreciate some help. It doesn't have to measure absolutely perfeclty of course...- RaynFox

Little Dot Tube Amps: Vacuum Tube Rolling Guide
Hey there everyone. I have a Little Dot Mk3 and after owning it for some time now, I decided to share some of my tube rolling experiences. I did not roll a lot of tubes, it's a very small number of tubes, but the results surprised even me. After tube rolling the Little Dot Mk3, I can pretty...- RaynFox

Is it possible to increase 40-400 Hz range in headphones?
Hi, I did do this with an equalizer, that's how it grew on me with the rest of my frequency response. But that's limited to devices that have the ability to EQ like that. The question was more meant on hardware level - doesn't have to be exactly like what the Elite have, but at least similar.- RaynFox

Little Dot Tube Amps: Vacuum Tube Rolling Guide
Thanks for the answers! I don't use the amp at 100% ever, it's not optimal, I just wondered about the noise. The electrical hum, I'll try a different socket tomorrow to see whether it'll make a difference - the other stuff I tried already. And about the external power source, how exsctly would...- RaynFox

Little Dot Tube Amps: Vacuum Tube Rolling Guide
Hey, I've been reading and reading, but I still wonder, could the Little Dot Mk3 take a 12V driver tube? Another question I have is - I read that the 6SN7 should require the Little Dot to have a different power adapter than the stock one - I've been using 6SN7 with just the stock one and it's...- RaynFox

Is it possible to put an EQ inside a headphone shell in between driver and cable ?
Hey! There exist many equalizer circuits and I wonder, if I could somehow EQ a driver by putting a resistor and a capacitor or just a capacitor inside the headphone shell between the cable and driver. I have nice drivers but I don't want to use software to tune the EQ, but also don't want to...- RaynFox
