    Foobar2000 output settings unclear

@droid23. Glad, you found a problem, you are proactive user. :) That's correct. Topping XMOS based DACs are UAC 2.0 compatible and Windows will use built-in drivers. Unless you want to play Native DSD using ASIO output (which is not easy to setup in Foobar) you can stay with Windows drivers...

    Foobar2000 output settings unclear

To add to the previous response, since the version 1.6, Foobar dropped default interface called Direct Sound and switched to WASAPI. Now WASAPI is a default Foobar interface, if doesn't say 'exclusive', it is shared. Shared goes through system mixer and output sample rate is controlled in the...

    LHY UIP USB audio isolator

Nothing wrong with this. Quality components, like caps and soft recovery diodes. Two stage regulation, transformer with two separate windings gives power to both USB host and output side. A final opinion depends on the price, expecting $80-$100. :) I would only put AC power switch close to the...

Douk Audio U2 Pro DDC - Poorman DDC for an affordable & clean digital signal

Not isolator. LHY has isolator in their offering, at least twice expensive, here you get a good power supply, important for the receivers that use USB power. It is a class of 'purifiers' that include common mode filters on the power line. It has 'isolated' ground, but it is probably just ground...

Douk Audio U2 Pro DDC - Poorman DDC for an affordable & clean digital signal

Yip, saw this one today. Very basic, that one "no stock" would compete with $80 model. You can get one, then later connect in series more advanced part with external PSU connector. .

Douk Audio U2 Pro DDC - Poorman DDC for an affordable & clean digital signal

Sorry, this is old chip (low and full speed only), not sure will be UAC 2.0 compatible. Only for old DAC's, maximum 96kHz. All new ADuM high-speed (480Mbps) isolator chips are ending with '5' or '6'.

    Audio-Gd R-28 impressions thread

Well recorded CD's sound great on R2R DAC, you don't need to tell me that. :) .... I also have problem with 24-bit recordings, they are over-smoothed, monitored on Delta-Sigma DAC's and... this is critical.... what you are receiving from streaming services is heavily watermarked. Hi-res...

    Audio-Gd R-28 impressions thread

I am positive, burning will fix muddy bass. It is not the attribute of the Audio GD sound. The other thing is also related to burning. As you enjoy every note on some tracks, I am sure for a final effect. These track you do like have a simple sound, right? I mean solo or duo with no much...

OK, I stand corrected. Regarding matching impedance, a message is clear on this issue. At least for me it looks correct.

    Audio-gd DI24/DI24HE

I think the main purpose of the DI-24HE clock output is for feeding upstream equipment like streamers. Is your data connection I2S? Synchronising both devices on S/PDIF makes sense, but for I2S not sure. @FredA made experiments with DI-20HE and found that it sounds better when attaching OCK-2...

    Audio-gd DI24/DI24HE

I assume you have already cycled power of DI-24HE. If not, do it now. 1. Unplug DI-24HE USB cable. 2. On Windows go to the Control Panel (not a Device Manager) and uninstall the existing Amanero driver. 3. Run setupuac2.exe file and follow prompts. There are two parts: for a Windows interface...

    LHY UIP USB audio isolator

This is a lowest price I saw! There is a new isolator in a smaller package, but PCB seems to built on the same concept. It has USB type C input, it is not what I do prefer, but convenient for Macbooks and ultra slim notebooks users. Only $27 which is surprising given what is inside. Posted...

    LHY UIP USB audio isolator

Seen a photo of a fragment of PCB. It looks transparent - two sides only without a solid ground plane between. It is acceptable for $50 product. Even the model you found for $80 had four layers board.

    Audio-gd DI24/DI24HE

Problem is, we have been using driver 1067 for years with a standard firmware CPLD_for_1080. See a yellow marks on a screenshot. There is a note on the bottom that links to the same 1067 driver which hasn't been updated. This driver do not enable DSD512 on Windows! If Audio GD started to supply...
