Never heard the Arya so I can't comment, I'll let others chime in on what they think. If you think they're similar then sure. But for $1699, I wouldn't hesitate going straight for the 1000se

How about just Susvara 2? Or something completely different? Assuming the new name is referring to the bare grills, it sounds like they thought about it for 5 min and said 'let's go with that.' It was not a well thought out name. Susvara Unveiled is terrible

As I understand the new design, HFM is expecting users to cover the grills when not in use? That's an accident waiting to happen. I wonder how warranty claims will be addressed from inevitable damage from this design decision. I'm also with others here -- my initial impressions are I'm not crazy...

The HE1000se store page has updated the price to $1699. Very tempting. Begs the question, does anyone know if they're coming out with a new HEK model? I have heard a new flagship is coming, but don't know any details beyond that.

Do you see $1699 listed on the HFM store? When I go to the HE1000se page it still says $1999. I did just get the email where it looks like it's supposed to be $1699, but the page still says $1999 for me. $1699 is nuts. I might buy one for that price. Screenshot:

My Affinity adapters came today for the Sol P. Question for those who use them -- is there a burn in period? Things seem to sound a little on the thin side with some tracks I'm familiar with....Trying to gauge if it's the adapters, the adapted cable, or maybe just my brain.

That looks like a nice looking 1958 Mullard gz34 to me, if I'm reading the date code correctly and with my very limited knowledge of tubes! That and the Tung Sols are pretty solid tubes 👌
