MEZE AUDIO ELITE - The New Isodynamic Hybrid Array Headphone - official thread
The Elite had to leave after I loved them for the last 6 months? But what happened? Empy II happened! For my taste it is so much more fun with only a tiny loss in details. You want a bit of fun and V shape? Don't force the Elite doing so with the DuoPads of the Empy, just take the Empy and...- Quarzer

Hey there, I decided to keep the Empy II. Therefor, the Elite can leave me. It was a great companion the last 6 months. I bought it second hand but nearly unused. I used the Elite round about 300 to 400h the last 6 months. So its perfectly grooved in  In the package is: 1. the headphone...- Quarzer

Meze EMPYREAN II
Ok, I think the leather pads of Elite have more punch, but as well more blurring and less clarity. In the first 10 minutes I like the hybrids of the Empy II more then the leather Elite ones. Comfort is on par. On the skin the hybrids are nice, but because of the smaller hole there not that much...- Quarzer

Sure. But the leather is not producing the clamping force and stickiness, its only the carbon bow. And carbon is stick as ****. I really think the Empy II is a bit more solid and provides more clamping force then the Elite. I wear the Empy II yesterday 6h straight away and I have big issues with...- Quarzer

The vocals still awesome presented. The bass is kicking really nice, beside its not my taste of music. But overall clean representation. If you want to have the bass kicking you out of your socks, let me tell you, the Empy II doesn't, instead it let you grove ;)- Quarzer

No, not the headband. If something got lessened over time then the the carbon bow. BUT carbon keeps his stiffness over time. So can't tell if the elite is always looser then the Empy II, but in my case it is. Just changed them for you and have them on the head right now. It is looser for sure...- Quarzer

One more interesting against the Elite. The Empy II is stiffer and may have a bit more clamping force. Elite: Empy II: Beautiful couple:- Quarzer

That escalated quickly: New in Hifi Headphones
I'm a big fan of having only one headphone especially when I work during home office. If I have more time in the future I would like to have the D8000 Pro LE back home :). This is a great headphone with a not so good comfort. But for short sessions it outperforms Elite and Empy II- Quarzer

Not for me, but I'm not so familar with highend DAC/Amps. My goal currently is a Cyan 2 with Cayin HA-3A. But that need to wait. The xDuoo replaced my Burson Conductor 3X Reference.- Quarzer

The Abyss should be the better choice for details. The Empy II is a musical to my ears and not a scalpel.- Quarzer

But doesnt matter. 😊 It should subjectivly sound better for you than the Elite. Then the Empy II is better for you, if not keep the Elite. That easy 😉- Quarzer

Meze EMPYREAN II
In one category the Empy II beats any other headphone I heard: Presentation of vocals! This makes me speechless. The volume, depth, timbre, position, location and how its embedded into the other soundings/instruments is top notch! I'm not talking about vocal-details, its more about how vocals...- Quarzer
