Since you are worried about connector life and its longevity so I would advise you to not use Code 23 cable.

If you haven’t sent them yet then continue using them for 2-3 weeks. It gets better and fits magically after 14-15 days

:) I guess this is 100th time you have asked the same question…. Yes, 2 pin connectors are fragile by nature and changing cable will weaken it.

Code 23 is not an IEM cable. Put too much strain on the connector, is stiff and just spoils the comfort of any IEM.

I guess he has screen ON all the time at 50% brightness with streaming and DSP enabled as well. @DefinitioN. why do you want to keep screen On all the time? You can buy that Fiio Bluetooth remote to switch on and switch off the screen as needed.

I bought a used one but that’s what I have heard from users that sibilance goes away after couple of hundred hours of use.

I think he has been wrong multiple times with his assessment. I remember his assessment of Schiit MJ3 was off as well from general consensus.

I never felt the difference with display On and Off but anyways I listen for fun and don’t pay that level Of attention

When I bought my DAC from Sonnet they told me something about the volume control they have implemented where there is a jumper inside to reduce reference voltage by 3 to get -10db attenuation. I can’t find that old email but there is something similar in 6moons...

ya the lead time is like 4-5 weeks for this conversion and counter starts once they have your IEM and you can see the status in a link sent over an email.

I just edited my post…I meant Wi-Fi On and Screen Off will give more than 10 hrs. Only DSD Upsampling and screen usage brings Walkman to last less than 10 hrs.

I like warm and smooth sound and I get it from Raphael. Unfortunately I never tried any expensive IEM cable. Code 23 was other one I had earlier but it was thick and heavy and broke the the 2 pin connector of my IEM so I sold it off at loss and have decided to never use any heavy cable ever for...

You don’t need to pump out 120 out of Walkman. Give it low voltage and let amplifier do its job. Many amplifier work better at unity gain and above.
