Found myself in a self manufactured conundrum. I was looking for headphones that may be sympathetic to my tinnitus. A fine gentleman on here made available to me a pair of Thieaudio Ghosts. Good question and a valid point, I suggest that I would guess the cabs are not made of wood. The speakers in question sound very different to anything else I have heard. Maybe because all the cabs I've ever had were made of wood.- malkie23

Someone I know has very expensive floor standing speakers with the cabinets made from glass. To me, they don't sound the best. They "sound" as if made of glass. Hi Thanks for that, appreciated. I’ve already been assessed by an audiologist. He advised permanent hearing damage. My tinnitus is a high pitched hiss, I’m not always conscious of it , especially if I’m preoccupied with something.- malkie23
