Chord Electronics - Hugo 2 - The Official Thread
Entered the pairing mode and nothing happens. Maybe my BT 5.0 adapter isn't backward compatible with Hugo 2's 2.1. Gonna get a new one that explicitly says compatible with 2.1.- Edric Li

I can enter pairing mode on my BT adapter. How do I enter pairing mode on the Hugo 2? Does your adapter connect to Hugo 2 automatically after the adapter enters pairing mode? Thanks.- Edric Li

A device that can output digital and analog audio simultaneously
Exactly what I'm looking for. Thank you! I've perhaps found a solution with more but smaller boxes: A Samsung smartphone with Dual Audio feature, or a DAP with USB-C output + a dual streaming Nintendo Switch BT adapter -> -> digital audio -> a BT receiver -> analog audio But D10 is definitely...- Edric Li

A device that can output digital and analog audio simultaneously
I'm looking for a device that can output a digital audio signal (USB/SPDIF/Bluetooth) and an analog audio signal (3.5mm/RCA) simultaneously. Between the two, I need the digital audio signal to be of high quality. One solution I can think of is: A DAP with spdif out -> spdif splitter -> digital...- Edric Li

Ibasso PB5 the next dedicated portable Amplifier
Great advice. Adding to it: if you don't like to stick Velcro onto your expensive device or even onto your leather case, wrap wide one-wrap velcro around each of your device, stack them, and then one-wrap them together.- Edric Li

I just tried. Tool-less, these overspec'ed batteries work too. Keeppower is a named brand, whereas battery space is custom built in the USA. Pick your poison...- Edric Li

Final Audio Design Impressions and Discussion Thread
Agree with your impressions. Idk how, but there is a severe lack of new toy syndrome when I'm with my E500. Even on the day I got something new in the mail, no matter how expensive they are, they'd be lucky if they took away half of E500's time on my ears. I can't remember the last time I put on...- Edric Li

The Enleum HPA-23RM Discussion Thread
Mine is AXXX too. FWIW when I open up the unit to change batteries, the writing on the board says HPA-23RM 230429_V3.0, whatever that means. PS this is the model and spec of the battery used in the 23RM, in case anyone is interested...- Edric Li

Lol! Quoting my old post. You can definitely leave a message in your order asking them to flip the connector for you, since the entire battery pack was custom built. Here are two comprehensive measurements of 18650 batteries. MJ1 really is a solid choice for low amp usage...- Edric Li

The Enleum HPA-23RM Discussion Thread
The fact that they put 3.5mm on the voltage out is just dumb. Discourages people from plugging in full size headphones into the voltage out for no reason. I can't imagine anyone buying this and using a 1/8-to-1/4 adapter to listen to headphones, even if the voltage out indeed works better for them.- Edric Li

The Enleum HPA-23RM Discussion Thread
Two things went wrong, not your fault but how finicky this thing is. 1) Shouldn't have used the line out. I'm surprised you didn't hear distortion with the line out. Instead, turn the Hugo 2 volume to half-ish (around green). 2) Try the voltage out. To my ears the voltage out is a pretty...- Edric Li

It seems that the Hugo 2 and the 23RM can be connected by the shortest RCA cable (if you can call it that) in the world by somehow connecting these Switchcraft angled RCA connectors directly. Suggestions are welcomed... https://www.switchcraft.com/assets/1/24/3502RA_SERIES_CD.pdf- Edric Li

CanJam SoCal 2023 Impressions Thread
Unless one's ear canal is acoustically identical to 711, the dip will not compensate the frequency of the standing wave exactly. And now you get a dip next to a peak, which sounds more peaky than the peak by itself. In my audition of the Storm, when I complained about the treble glare, I was...- Edric Li

Best IEM tips?
It is an assortment of sizes. The smaller/thinner ones, besides being placed at the end of the nozzle in the normal way, are often used to deep-fit a wider-bore eartip onto a narrower IEM nozzle, by placing them inside of the eartip bore but behind the tip of the IEM nozzle. Very specific, I...- Edric Li
