Updated to 1,4 today. It was a bigger difference than I was expecting. It’s more resolution and larger sounding now. Really great.

I had this, it was bad xlr cables going to the amp. (Wireworld) changed to chord cables, it didn’t happen. Then changed to Alvin’s xlr’s Gotham cables. No issue.

@infinityShake Do you use fiber all around? How do you Connect your source with fiber? Or do you use fiber conversion kit to Ethernet for source?

I’ve been comparing the stock with Forza noir hybrid, and the stock is a little taller sounding I think and the Forza is kind of more in the center and more sub bassy. Any other compared the stock to Forza noir hybrid ? (I have the 4pin furutech plug)

It can be a killer of dynamic range, could loose a little bass. But in some setups it provides a clean detailed sound. Kind of like a haze beeing lifted. Sound gets little brighter in some setups compared to wall outlet. I’ve only used isotek Aquarius and furutech flux 50. Now I’m struggeling...

Do you use any power filter/cleaner in your setup?

Price/performance i think heimdall 2 is great and Forza noir hybrid.

Exited for how I will change after 100-200 hours. I remember it had more depth, but it sounds really nice now without burn in also.

Finally received my Noir hybrid :-) been a while since I had this for susvara. Right out of the box I notice more sub bass, could this be right? I do remember it being brighter last time I had it. Now it’s not. Which is nice.

Maybe you should get an iMac 5k and compare for yourself before making statements about how it compares to mac mini and streaming devices. Ymmv and imho there is no point in adding something to the chain if i can’t tell any difference.

I I have tried streamers (from bluesound and up to auralic 8000$) and compared to the iMac with Roon. 0 difference, also tried audiophile switches, melco etc. High end Ethernet cable, and filters for Ethernet, linear psu for router, 0 difference to my ears. Have you compared iMac 5k to Mac...

Im about to pull the plug on a tube amp for susvara, to get a different sound than my moon 430ha. I’m going for cayin ha300b instead of envy which is double the price, change my mind.. Go

Does it sound different than stock cable to you ?

It’s so true. Eventually one gets used to the sound, no matther what you have, even if you have the “best” setup, and you will search for a different signature than the one you already have and have gotten used to.

Still love my moon 430had with the sus. Rumbles really low. But I’m considering going for an envy performance or cayin ha300b mk2, for a different sound, can’t decide. It’s half the price for the cayin. Is the envy worth double the price ?
