Agree with @Bosk: because the E7 is based on a DS DAC, rather than R2R, it is more technical and dynamic. But without the digital glare you normally get with DS DACs. It is well tuned to be smooth and still organic. :)

LD is a bit flatter since it is meant to be closest to a monitoring neutral sound. HT sounds a bit more tuned for ACG, like the P6PTi is: a bit more mid centric and dynamic. Subtle, I agree, next to HD. :)

This is probably my favourite Billie Holiday album. Despite her ravaged voice, so much emotions nevertheless. And it helps that for such an old album, it is so well recorded and mastered. :)

Enjoying the MySphere 3.2 off the SAEQ Hyperion Ge and Holo Spring3 KTE. Using the Shanling ET-3 as source in this instance: Airplay from my iPhone. Streaming from QQ Music. Simple but enjoyable way to spend the weekend. :)

What do you mean by “ear fit test”? I use size M and it fits my universals nicely. :)

If search function is a must, have a listen to the E7. Have you heard the LP6? If you have, then you will have some basis for comparison with the E7. :)

Of course you can! As @slumberman pointed out. You may also stream via BT. I know some folks are pretty snobbish about BT streaming, but have a listen without prejudice or preconceptions and see what you think. You can even stream via USB from an android device or iphone. @Uncle Wilson at...

And the BT on the P6Ps as well the E7 work very well. And of course, USB in works nicely too.

Spending some time with the P6Pro Ti with the WY1 cable: streaming out of the M9+ and powered by a portable battery. So the P6P Ti does not feel left out now that the E7 has arrived. 🤗

It could be a faulty unit. If it persists, perhaps an exchange with the AD is in order.

Pity about that. But agree that the various ranges of the LP DAPs each have their own unique charm. :)

Great initial impressions and gorgeous photos as ever @tone.texture.soul ! Agree: amazing that LP has managed to reproduce the kind of magic we love in the DMP in such a compact little package. The E7 is indeed very much complementary to the R2R DAPs in the LP stable. :)

What I really do enjoy about the E7 is that it has all the technical performance of an AKM chip but without the digital glare. I think it is difficult to understand this if one is not used to R2R portrayal of music and have not been exposed such smooth and organic presentation. :)

Great thing about the charging is that it is really quick vs the LP6 :)

Indeed. Whilst I do appreciate HD for some kind of music like live performances and classical music, the only issue for me is that it is a bit forward and can be overwhelming for some types of genre like acoustic. :)

Yeah… the LD tuning was not as always like that. The FW whereby the team leveraged on the FPGA for the LD tuning has really lifted the LD Tuning. It was not always so lovable. :)
