Yeah I'd suggest you try a vanilla one again. It's definitely got a U curve but not any more than the FA01 I'd say.

Actually the Philips Fidelio X1/X2 are a good upgrade. I have the X1 and love them to bits. (still thinking about LCD2 lol)

I'm still rocking the VSonic GR07 Bass Edition - perfectly complimenting the X1! I love them so much I'm considering buying a new pair and putting it in a custom sleeve...

I got my pair (BE3)... They seem to sound great only if I press them with my hands against my ears, if I just leave them in there they don't feel snag (feel like they can fall off easily) and they don't sound as good or as loud. What am I doing wrong/how do I fix this?

Anyone knows if any company makes custom sleeves for the GR07?

Of the phones you listed my favorites are the Fidelio X1, and they should suit your musical taste perfectly too. However one thing that is missing from what you are looking for is where are you going to use them? You have listed a mix of open closed and portables.... The X1 will not do well at...
