I just wrote what I heard and thought loyally. And this thread never rejects criticism. You can accept my idea or enjoy your HD700, either, or even both. Moreover, praise is meaningless if not allowed to criticize.

I don`t think HD700 is a good choice. Once I compared HD650, HD700 and T90. HD700 sounds flat and numbing, neither as warm and charming tone as HD650, nor as dynamic and big stage as T90. In terms of these, I recommand HD650 and T90, or HD800 series if someone has sufficient bucks.

From Senn MX365 to Abyss 1266Phi. Abyss is quite a fantastic and magnificent hi-end headphone. Now I`m considering to sell my HD800S.

Even HDVD800 is not that ideal. As I concerned, power output limits their performance. With $800 there`ll be many alternatives including Bryston BHA-1 or V281 or Schiit Mjolnir 2 or Auralic Taurus. They are all high power amps driving sufficiently compared with HDVA/HDVD.

HD800 will sound good when engagin XIAUDIO Formula S.
