I'm switching between 2 DACs, a lab 12 DAC 1 ref and a Pontus II. It doesn't seem to be a consistent/continuous effect.....it just jumps out on some tracks and I notice it. I'm going to do some more checks with and without preamp, and at different gain combinations.

I must admit, the gain setting implementation of this amp is pretty crap. Seriously, a nearly $7000 amp should do better.

Only relative to the Shuguang 2a3'S which were the stock supply. I've used a ton of PSVane tubes in other amps, mainly 845's/ 211's (TII versions) and find them to be very good tubes...and reliable! The ACME's are pretty special tubes and I can't really find anything that isn't good about them...
