MYSPHERE 3.1-UNIQUE in SOUND&DESIGN&BUILD QUALITY
I just bought a pair of Mysphere 3.2's and have had a few weeks to get to know them. I wish I'd found this thread before and will need to delve in a bit, maybe I would have found some of the quirks earlier! Firstly, as I've heard mentioned and no doubt covered elsewhere on this thread, these are...- stuart1927

The New Enleum AMP-23R Amplifier (Successor to Bakoon AMP-13R) Thread
I think I figured it out (maybe!). I had set some EQ for my Headphones (via Roon) to bump up the bass EQ by a few db....I forgot to switch it off when playing through speakers. Not sure if that could have been the issue, but haven't had any issues since. I did switch the amp off a few times in...- stuart1927

The New Enleum AMP-23R Amplifier (Successor to Bakoon AMP-13R) Thread
I'm switching between 2 DACs, a lab 12 DAC 1 ref and a Pontus II. It doesn't seem to be a consistent/continuous effect.....it just jumps out on some tracks and I notice it. I'm going to do some more checks with and without preamp, and at different gain combinations.- stuart1927

The New Enleum AMP-23R Amplifier (Successor to Bakoon AMP-13R) Thread
I must admit, the gain setting implementation of this amp is pretty crap. Seriously, a nearly $7000 amp should do better.- stuart1927

The New Enleum AMP-23R Amplifier (Successor to Bakoon AMP-13R) Thread
I'm wondering....I've been picking up quite notable distortion on some tracks. At first, I thought this might be the transparency of the amp...now I'm not so sure?- stuart1927

The New Enleum AMP-23R Amplifier (Successor to Bakoon AMP-13R) Thread
Based on my fairly short listening time so far, I prefer my Enleum paired with the Trafomatic pre-amp. On it's own, the Enleum sounds a tiny bit leaner (still very nice) but overall, just a better experience when using the Enleum as a power amp. The added benefit of using the pre-amp is that I...- stuart1927

The New Enleum AMP-23R Amplifier (Successor to Bakoon AMP-13R) Thread
I received my amp a couple of days ago. Still warming her up but first impressions so far are extremely positive. Like most say, it's quite an achievement for such a small device to power speakers and headphones with so much finesse. I did notice quite a change in sound during the first 24 hrs...- stuart1927

The New Enleum AMP-23R Amplifier (Successor to Bakoon AMP-13R) Thread
So I signed up for buying this Amp at the end of march and paid the $1700 deposit. But so far nothing whatsoever from Enleum....no invoice, email....nowt! I just have the paypal advice of payment. Anyone else entered into a similar black hole. Not a particularly positive first impression! The...- stuart1927

DNA Stratus 2A3 amplifier - first impressions
I've used the Sennheiser HD 800, hifiman he100se, Heddphone and now zmf Atrium. ALL sound fantastic on the Stratus. I do use a tube preamp with the Stratus, a trafomatic Evolution Line 1, which gives more gain and additional headroom. This combination also drives the Heddphone very well which...- stuart1927

ZMF Atrium - new open-back co-flagship
I just received my Atrium's this week. I've been wanting a ZMF headphone for a while and was close to buying the Verite open a few months ago, but for some reason I held back (not like me!)....but I'm glad I did. The Atriums sounded more like what I was after, based on the descriptions of the...- stuart1927

The New Enleum AMP-23R Amplifier (Successor to Bakoon AMP-13R) Thread
I placed an order for one, or at least paid the $1500 order deposit, but not sure if I'll proceed based on the price hike. It was already very expensive and feel that the increase is difficult to justify. I'm sure a 4kg box that delivers the sound (to headphones and speakers) at the level of...- stuart1927

A new contender in the NOS realm of DACs " Lab 12, DAC1 Reference"
Interesting....I already had a preamp that I was happy with (Trafomatic Evolution line one). It's their entry level amp, but really nice. Very simple circuit and superb components. It hooks up extremely well with the Lab 12 dac 1 ref. I also experienced quite a long burn in with the lab 12, but...- stuart1927

A new contender in the NOS realm of DACs " Lab 12, DAC1 Reference"
I'm not an expert in the chips used, but I think the implementation overall has a much bigger influence on the sound. I've heard great dacs with fairly cheap and cheerful (older) chips being used. My old Musical paradise MP1 was a perfect example. The use of good components and of course someone...- stuart1927

The New Enleum AMP-23R Amplifier (Successor to Bakoon AMP-13R) Thread
Only relative to the Shuguang 2a3'S which were the stock supply. I've used a ton of PSVane tubes in other amps, mainly 845's/ 211's (TII versions) and find them to be very good tubes...and reliable! The ACME's are pretty special tubes and I can't really find anything that isn't good about them...- stuart1927
