This is my favorite set of NC headphones by far. Tough, reliable, great battery life, and super easy to use.

That is exactly what I am talking about. A slightly more personal approach vs having to battle it out for Ltd sales that can lose you a set in literally seconds. Email or some other version of communication. And like you said, if they don't sell, then they would put them on the site.

I disagree. I think you can control it best if you give first rights to their best customers vs whoever has the most money outright at that moment. Otherwise it just becomes a wallet waving fest. And this doesn't mean you wouldn't buy more sets, or that they wouldn't make more beautiful sets...

I would think the up charge could absorb that. Especially once the process was refined and perfected. But I get what you mean.

Would it really be that bad tho? Zmf already has wonderful custom sets that are expensive for some, and not for others. It would just be a different tier for returning customers. You don't hear hd650 owners whining because current zmf prices are too high. Or Toyota owners complaining about not...

Totally get it, and it's just an idea. I don't think there is anything wrong with special sets like this, as long as there is a market for it. I have heard headphones that cost far more, and sound worse then even the most expensive ZMF's. It wouldn't be to reward the wealthiest, but more to say...

The only reason I was suggesting that is due to the possible extremely limited availability of this type of set, and rarity of materials. Almost as a way of saying thank you to their returning customers. Not to lock people out just for the purposes of doing so.

No problem! I'm not trying to hate on the wa33 as it is a great amp. Plenty of power and clarity, but to my ears I prefer a bit warmer sound. Some would find it endgame for sure.
