For I what I use DJ headphones for (Pro Tools SE work), these aren't too bad. Got mine for $24. Has a moderate bass but sounds adequate for me.- babya

Creative ZEN 20GB
Just got a Creative ZEN 20GB recently for $29. As the name suggests, it is a 20GB HDD MP3 player. What I like about it-the Creative touch control pad is quite nice as the option flor use as a removable disk (settable from 2GB-16GB). Sound quality is impressive-I use the custom EQ setting.- babya

Bose PM-1
Just got a very nice Bose CD player-a PM-1 for $1. It's in a black color and has anti-skip protection. Despite not having any form of "bass boost", the sound quality is exceptionally good with lots of rich bass.- babya

Aiwa XP-EV500
Got a Aiwa XP-EV500 portable CD player for $1. It was released in 2003, so it has the 2003 Aiwa logo on it. According to the service manual. it is based on the Sony D-EJ760 series. Like Sony's CD Walkman it has bass boost and anti-shock protection-instead of being known as "MEGA BASS"...- babya
