Focal Hadenys & Azurys Review & Measurements
I agreed with your post, only stating that not all headphones are able to be driven by a balanced amplifier. I am sorry if I offended you, far from my intention.- ahmonge

Focal Hadenys & Azurys Review & Measurements
Yes, of course, as long as the headphones have four-wire wiring. If they only support three wires, they must be powered with an unbalanced amplifier.- ahmonge

Dan Clark Audio E3 Review: Interview, Measurements, Impressions
As long as the manufacturer respects the dB definition for power, which is dB = 10 x log10 (W1/W2) and 0 dB of volume gives amplifier's max power, -14 dB implies that W1 is equal to W2/25.11, so if W2 = 7,2W, then W1 is equal to 287 mW.- ahmonge

If 0dB implies max power on the DX9, the power corresponding to -14 dB is 287 mW- ahmonge

Dan Clark Audio E3 Review: Interview, Measurements, Impressions
This is simply not possible, as long as the power is measured at the headphones impedance… or the manufacturer is lying- ahmonge

Don't worry about whether it provides enough voltage (or current). An amplifier that gives x watts at a given impedance provides the current and voltage needed to achieve that power. If it did not, it would be impossible for it to deliver the specified power.- ahmonge

My K5 Pro (AKM version), connected thru USB to a Win 11 PC doesn’t have such problem, but I don’t use the Win audio stack. Only ASIO audio protocol with Foobar app for local files and Qobuz Studio Win app for streaming.- ahmonge

Dan Clark Audio E3 Review: Interview, Measurements, Impressions
After looking for a good cable supplier, I ended up with vendor EachDIY Earphone Parts Store from Aliexpress. Their cables are soft, close to zero microphonics and no shape retention memory. This is the one I bought for my Aeon 2 Noires...- ahmonge
