They have two tunings first one - reference, which is characterized by a very clean, balanced sound, and second one bassy, in which the lower band is boosted by +6dB and the earphones completely change their character, becoming musical and fun sounding. You can easily switch between the two tunings, without removing the earphones from your ears, using a small switch on the faceplate.
